Executive Director's Letter:

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and 2017 is filled with all things wonderful!
The 2017 Winter Meeting is just around the corner. You can register online by visiting our website, www.arkvetmed.org, or through the packet you should have received in the mail. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the ArVMA office at 501-868-3036. Dr. Karen Sherman has planned a great meeting and we are looking forward to it.

Dr. Archie Ryan has been working the on the student/new graduate mentorship program with Paul Vitale. We are all very excited about this program. It is going to bring a whole new feel to the students and new graduates. They will know that as an association, we are here for them and will have resources to help them with whatever needs that may arise. If you know a new graduate, let me know. The new graduate position on the board changes yearly and it is a great experience. The position requires the graduate to travel to Chicago in January where they get the experience of interacting with other new graduates from other states, and also gives them a chance to see how the American VMA works. It is a wonderful opportunity and is completely funded. Also, be on the lookout for the Power of 10 program. There will be more details to follow soon about this exciting program.

I look forward to seeing you in Hot Springs on February 10-12, 2017! In the meantime, if you have any questions about the meeting or your dues, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Maggie Milligan

We also need to remember our sponsors and all the exhibitors. Without them, our meeting would not be as successful and we would not be able to keep our fees at a minimum. Thank them when they come to … Continue reading
