South Arkansas Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time or part-time compassionate and energetic veterinarian to join our progressive and growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in medicine, be client-oriented with strong client education skills, and be a dedicated and enthusiastic team player.

We focus on providing a gold standard of medicine while working with the client to develop a manageable patient care plan. Our hospital stresses preventive care, dentistry, exceptional medical workups & treatments, surgery, as well as behavior and nutrition counseling. Our close proximity to 24-hour referral and emergency centers allows us to offer our staff the benefit of flexible work schedules with no emergency on-call duty.
As an associate veterinarian at South Arkansas Veterinary Hospital, you will appreciate our in-house pharmacy, Idexx in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiology, surgical monitoring equipment including BP, pulse Ox and ECG, as well as a highly trained technical and support staff. We also utilize AVImark as our practice management software.
You will find us in Arkadelphia, located at the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains in Clark County. The community is located on Interstate 30 approximately halfway between Little Rock and Texarkana, and also on Highway 7 approximately 35 miles from Hot Springs. Arkadelphia’s location provides easy access to the amenities of a large city while providing residents and visitors with the family friendliness and closer to nature feel of a smaller town; as featured in the book “50 Fabulous Places to Raise Your Family: The Best Places to Live, Work, and Play.” Our schools are also highly regarded.

Job Requirements:
* A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
* Licensure in good standing and eligibility to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Arkansas.
