Jacksonville Animal Hospital (JAH) is a privately-owned, 4-doctor clinic in a spacious, modern building. There are no corporate shareholders to answer to and no one telling you how to practice medicine. We understand that you are an individual with individual preferences. We do our best to offer the medications and diagnostic/treatment tools that you prefer. We support each other and work together to provide quality care. We treat you like a real person, not just a number to increase our bottom line.
JAH is looking for a full- or part-time veterinarian to join our team. Our size affords us flexibility. Do you want to work one day per week or five? Let us know what you want, and we’ll try to accommodate that. Of course, your salary will depend on your schedule. Do you love or hate surgery? We will try to keep you doing what you love. You will never be on call for after-hour emergencies. We are open Monday through Friday 7:30-5:30. Appointments start at 8:00am, and we have a two-hour break for lunch to allow time to eat and catch up. Our last appointment is at 4:45pm, and we only schedule healthy pets from 11-12 and 4-5 to help us stay on schedule. We are open on Saturdays from 7:30-noon. Currently, our doctors work every other Saturday. This may decrease with the addition of doctors. If Saturdays are a deal breaker for you, let me know, and you won’t have to work them.
Our large staff with years of experience in the veterinary field is here to help you be productive and efficient. Our doctors are paid salary with a potential for quarterly bonuses. However, we are happy to provide production-based pay if preferred.
New graduates are welcome to apply, as our environment provides support and mentoring from experienced veterinarians on staff. We promote a culture of teamwork and low drama. Our hospital offers digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, therapy laser, and in-house lab machines. We offer:
